Not Ascended Yet

Oh look, I'm still around!

There has been very little time online for me of late; can you say skip=700? It's a little intimidating.

I've been doing... stuff. Like watching Oz, for example. Working, trying to adjust to the increased cost of living, talking to the 'rents on the phone to make sure they're okay. Encouraging the SO in writing the pulpy lesbian novel set in a fantasy universe.  And tending to my cat, who seems to have pulled a muscle. And having a really bad cold, and being anxious about my poor country and it's bad rulers.
But the Oz part has been a wonderful distraction from the other, RL struggles. The constant drama of life in Oswald seems to put my problems into perspective. So many beautiful men, so little human kindness to go around. Beecher and Keller, okay, I'm there. I had watched up through the conclusion of Season 2 previously, and then got cut off and had to wait a horribly long time, but now I've watched up through episode 404 and have started reading the fiction. I'm stunned by the hotness that is B/K, and captivated by the machinations of the rest of the crew. What a dark universe, and what dismal yet fascinating characters. No good deed goes unpunished, or any bad ones either, apparently.

Ryan O'Reilly and Adebisi still suck me in, in spite of how utterly brutal they are. And I don't care what O'Reilly says, there was an attraction between him and Beecher back in Season 2.

I'm way behind on Supernatural, because I loved the two post-hiatus episodes so much that I can't bring myself to pop the bubble and watch the newest ones. Now that they have pleased me, TPTB are bound to take with the other hand. Just like the way I KNOW Oz is going to break  Chris and Toby, and it'll still be their fault. But if I just stop here, I'll never find out whether Father Mukata and Miguel Alvarez give in to their love or not. I'm thinking I'd best prepare myself for satisfaction in AU stories.

Oh well, at least John and Rodney still love each other in canon.

Anywise, I will post more tomorrow, after I do a little flisting to catch up.
