Violently Maniacal Awards

Hoo baby.
The VMAs. Eagerly awaited, and still hard to take. Good moments;
Justin's demo of the fuzzy hat in the pre-show. Joey grabbing at JC's nipple (I swear he did!) during the presentation. Pink winning fem video! Britney not performing. (Sorry, guys, nothing against her personally. Just not a fan musically.)

Shakira.
Ergh. I now seem to be developing a love/hate thing with her. I admire her as a performer, and her style irritates the hell out of me. But I still think she's sexy. And a raving ego out of control. Hmm. I really liked her when I saw the smile she got for Pink's win. Pink/Shakira? I'm tempted, I really am.

Justin. I don't know why, but I really got the feeling that he was terrified during his performance. I wanted there to be less other people up there with him, and more of his singing live. And I must admit that the more he comes across as scared little Timba, the fonder I grow.
Why was JC not hugging him? He was very sweet and supportive at the TCA's. Did the publicity people reign him in? Chris was adorable, being all grown up and supportive. He wasn't even interrupting!Chris.

Joey looked fantastic, and happy to be with his boys again. Joey! He keeps growing on me. They all do, really.

P.Diddy's show was impressive, but the kicking-the-ho thing he did at the beginning lost him my attention for pretty much ever. Boo. Hiss. Don't corrupt the Timba, buster.

Sheryl Crow performed nicely; I think I might like her. In fact, yes.

Mathers? Who? I'd rather watch Moby. Sweet, aging, bald, glasses; I love him. Plus, he has a highly developed sense of comic irony. Smootch.

Everyone else pretty much bored me, especially the pretty-but-not-musical-yet-award-winning-Jennifer. Bzzzzz...
