This afternoon I have at my disposal that most marvelous of commodities ; several hours to wander the Internet and read other people's stories! I am a happy creature.
So, wandering by mistake I found this:
http://www.squidge.org/~cabs/feedbackfaux.html
a rant about feedback which has freaked me out seriously.

I admit it; I am a one-liner beast. When I post my own tidbits, I am so pathetically grateful for *any* feedback. So when I have time, I try to post "I loved it"s to the author of a good story. Just so they know someone's reading and appreciating.

I don't really even expect that much for my own snippets. Of course, the author of the rant is very talented and fairly prolic, so she is not in the same situation. Still.

Writers; do you feel this way? Is she speaking for the general population? Should I save the one-liners and only respond when I have plenty of time for critique and composition?

Readers/lurkers, etc. I love your presence, never be afraid to send me comments ranging from the teeniest to the most erudite. I love to be loved! And you don't have to comment at all, though I like it. I only write because it makes me feel more alive. The rest is lovely but not required.
