What Is Left

After the happy ending.
These people are not mine.
This is my own personal 5 minute challenge. Because I’ve places to sail, me hearties, but long for the freedom of the open sea.
~
There are lovers, two.
There are ships that sail to places cursed and blessed.
There are islands, there are reefs filled with fishes of many colors.
There is gold and to spare, fabrics of fine design, rich tapestries and the food of a dozen countries. Green apples, red wine, suckling pigs roasted gold as coins; all these lay spread before them at the lift of a finger.
There is beauty in pale skin and golden hair. Legs that spread and a soft body that yields its treasures nightly, ringing laughter and companionship in the evenings, after a long days’ work.
There are no pirates, not anymore.
Will Turner is dissatisfied, and wonders at times if his pocket contains a ghostly bit of gold.
