Something that not everyone may know about me is that I don't actually care a fig for the source text in a number of my favorite fandoms. Not all, but a number of them. The Sentinel, for example. I like the premise, the character outlines, and the actors are pretty. The show is notsogood. This is a good thing, in that I can enjoy the fan fiction without canon hysteria. It is a bad thing in that I risk offending deep lovers of the show if I, well, talk to them much.
Due South, conversely, is much beloved by me. One of my favorite shows, even without the stories.
But Firefly I adore. Sherlock Holmes (esp. as written by Doyle or played by J.B.), Pirates, Master and Commander (movie, but now I'm reading the books there is joy), Good Omens, Hitchhikers Guide, Pratchett's 'verse, these are some of my favorites. Firefly makes it to the top five tv shows ever, though. The squee factor actually increases on every viewing. I'm beginning to fear Joss Whedon.
Now I need to find Firefly recs! I'm really looking for Mal/Kaylee, Mal/Simon, or gen stories.
Help!
Six Feet Under is incredible too. Perfect combination of factors to make an utterly worthwhile and also entertaining show.
Unfortunately I felt compelled by a couple of scenes between the brothers in the first season to write .
He doesn’t know when the dreams first started.
It might have been when he first started thinking about Brenda, and whether or not she was sleeping with her brother. Then again, the first one he explicitly remembered on waking came the night after he watched Dave flirting with the dance instructor, so maybe it has nothing to do with Billy and Brenda and everything to do with his own fucked up family.
What Nathan knows for certain is that this morning, he woke up messy and sticky, alone in his own bed for once. He remembers saying to Dave, in the dream, “This is why we always avoid each other’s eyes,” and coming hard as he woke. He could still feel his little brother beneath him and taste those red lips he has not been staring at lately.
He knows that he has been dreaming about having his brother on his knees, sucking, for a few months now.

My slashy mind might be partially at fault, or perhaps the Boondock Saints. Or Te, because she is fun to blame.
