True Factoids with your host, stungunbilly.
Prologue: Weird But True
1. I once led a revolution in Disneyland.
2. Nobody has ever succesfully guessed my weight.
3. When it comes to the carnival game where you pound things on the head with a mallet, I rule the school.
4. I think it is stupid to assume anyone you meet is too stupid to teach you something.
5. Though I know astrology pretty darn well, and use it as a story telling tool, I think it is complete hogwash. You wouldn’t know this from the fact that it is astrology that enables me to know my family member’s birthdates.
6. I’d like to believe in ghosts.
Part One: Things I Hate
(A mere sampling of my inner vile grump monster.)
1. Sequels. There are exceptions (Empire Strikes Back was the best of the first trilogy), but they merely prove the rule.
2. Pimentos. They get into everything, like little colonizing aliens.
3. Shopping.
4. Organized sports. Except for the weird ones, like curling and table tennis. And solo sports, like fencing. (Fencing is so cooooool!)
5. People with big, mean dogs who laugh and laugh while you cringe from their adorable pets.
6. SUVs. It is so hard to watch the road when you can’t see past the car in front of you.
7. People talking on cell phones while driving. I’ve almost been hit dozens of times, since I am usually a pedestrian.
8. There is no number 8.
9. The idea that women should aspire to be martyrs.
10. The idea that men are dumb animals who inherently need women to teach them manners.
Part Two: Things I Love
(Songs from the Better Angels)
1. Cuddling.
2. Back rubs (see #1 above.)
3. Dancing all night to wonderful music.
4. David Sedaris.
5. The SO (see #’s 1&2 above.)
6. Cats. Even the wacky ones.
7. People with cute little puppies who let you play with them.
8. People who give their time to charitable organizations.
9. People when they smile at you in public just because you’re there.
10. Grilled cheese sandwiches with chocolate milk.
11. Music!!!!!!!!!
12. Really excellent movies.
13. Books!!!!!!!!! And literature in general, especially fan fiction.
14. Sex- Eleventy-youbetcha-one!
15. Beautiful natural places; especially tropical paradises like Hawaii.
16. The kind of friends you can laugh like a freak with.
17. There will be no number 17, as I am going to post now.
