Still riding high on the joys of Yaoicon, I have begun working on this bit of silliness:

Regarding homoerotic subtext; I've been watching through my tapes of Once a Thief, and I am stunned by the amount of slashy subtext in the show. I'd seen lone episodes before, but it had been some time. Smallville has a good deal of subtle slashy implications, (or not so subtle), but I have to admit OaT has it beaten. The episode "Drive, She Said", has so much Director/ Li Ann flirtation that I had to have a nice iced tea to cool off afterwards.

And Mac Ramsey is obviously crazy about Victor Mansfield, who keeps rejecting him.
I'm so glad that they put this show on American television.

One area in which OaT lags behind Smallville is in the fact that Mac is not actually an Evil Overlord in the making, nor is Vic likely to don a cape. But this small deficiency is more than redeemed by the tendency of the Director to wear all-leather ensembles at briefings, and also to drag her agents to kinky sex clubs.

Good stuff.

G'night, folks.
