10 Reasons Why I Love Badly Written/ Unpopular Fan Fiction

1. It makes everyone else’s stories look good.

2. It helps me practice acceptance and release.

3. It forces me to see things outside my normal realm of perception. (Hey, some people have *proof* that Lance is straight!)

4. The quantity of stories helps to keep me unknown, yet happily present. Hi haystack, I’m Needle.

5. It can be *really* funny.
6. It gives me a window into Weirdness, which is always fun.

7. I can write whatever I want to write and know I’m never alone. (Or the very worst out there.)

8. It inspires lots of websites where all the mean people are neatly identified, and thus avoidable. Or greet-able, if I’m in the mood.

9. It gives me an excuse to gripe, long-windedly and at length when I need a nice venting. (About something besides politics.)

10. It’s truly democratic; anyone can write it, post it, and sit back and watch the fur fly.
