They still have cutesy-nauseating commercials with cherubic children and grinning grannies, but Hallmark is no longer The Channel of Evil. They are running the Magnificent 7 every Saturday at 11PM, and therefore shall be forgiven. (Mostly).

Nathan. Yummy.
Vin. Yummy.
Chris. Yummy with twinkle.
Ezra. Lovably goofy.
JD. Oh! Pinch his pretty little cheeks!
Buck. Clearly the Joey of the bunch, there to prove the heterosexuality of Slut!Men. But secretly he is in love with JD.
Josiah. Philosophical, which is also of the good. Though his whiskers strike fear into my very soul.

Mary. ? Kills my sense of disbelief plum dead. Leaves Chris for the loving hands of Vin.

Plus, pretty extras and lots of bang!bang! shoot-'em-up fun. (What? Nobody looks the least bit dead. It's like playing with your siblings.)

Delphi's stories are sublime. Has everyone read them already? (Note: squidge seems to be down for the moment. If the link doesn't work, try again tomorrow.)

Also, Gwyneth Rhys writes wonderful M7 stories that you needn't have seen the show to appreciate. She is here.

Haven't got much writing done lately. I've been an little down because of the political climate, and also I've been reading a lot. For some reason I usually don't write much when I read fan fiction. Also, the current passion for canon-accuracy kills my muse, for some reason.

Band of Brothers is an interesting series put out by HBO about a group of paratroopers who were part of the invasion of Normandy during WWII. I am truly astounded by how good looking all the men seemed to be; harder to get into the army than a Hollywood movie these days. Very slashy series, and well-written, though I am a bit creeped out by the romanticization of warfare shown.
