Note to Self: Refusing to do online quizzes and memes is not that rebellious. Step back from the black leather jacket!
Everyone has snazzy new iconses, and stories, and links, and tests, and…stuff.
I’m sorta not having any of these things, now ain’t I?
I’ve been reading. And making lists. And other things also.
Books I have read or listened to on tape this month (and already finished):
1. winter birds by Jim Grimsley
2. dream boy by Jim Grimsley
3. Stay by Nicola Griffith
4. Master and Commander by Patrick O’Brian
5.
6. The Kindly Ones by Neil Gaiman (Sandman series penultimate volume)
7. Lord John and the Private Matter by Diana Gabaldon
Nice batch, actually. Unfortunately they have cut into my fan fiction reading time.
I’ve also read and re-read all of astolat ’s Master and Commander stories. She made me love het again. Next, penguins will fly out of my mouth while I’m singing in the shower.
I’ll be writing up my immediate impressions of the above later. Not now, though. I’ve got reading to do.
Anyone else ever read Lanark? Freaky-cool so far. The Thief Lord by Carol Funke is also pleasing me.
I will say this about Annie Proulx; she can give good gay cowboy. I sure hope Brokeback Mountain (the best of her short stories, in my biased opinion) makes it to the silver screen. Yum.
