Tonight I watched Dawson's Creek.

Anyhow, Kerr Smith. The character Jack isn't even remotely like Sean in The Forsaken.
Which is kudos to the actor, of course. But Jack, at least in this episode, is coming off as a bit of an idiot. Does he improve?
Then again, would I really watch the show again, even for him?
Hmm.
I haven't seen Tuesday's Buffy yet, and have managed to keep spoiler-free by dint of covering my ears and singing lalalalala whenever fellow fan co-workers come near. Thanks for the cut-aways, folks. One day I'll pay for my account and become a Real Lj'er and use them too. Guess I'll have to stop posting until then...

WARNING!!! Contains spoilers for the season premiere of Dawson's Creek.
He thinks he's in love with the bird. You can see it in his eyes, shiny and almost-black with pleasure when I ask him who she is. She obviously believes it too, trying in her own pathetic way to stake her claim by throwing her arm around him in a piss-poor territorial gesture. My method is much more effective; I hold his dreams in the palm of my hand.
Maybe he is in love. But his eyes are dark when he looks at me as well. And I bet he hasn't told her what he did for me last week at the photo-gallery gala. He is the most personal of assistants, and wouldn't that shock her? If he told her he was gay, she'd probably envision some same-sex version of their love-affair. But let him tell her he was bisexual and having it on with his employer in a bathroom stall and that little girl would lose the stardust in her eyes.
I won't tell, though. He's good for me, the snarky little bastard. My analyst says he is "a grounding influence". That would end, if I crossed his little love affair and he found out it was me.
Besides, I won't need to do it. He's so gun-shy around her he's sure to queer things himself. Pun completely intended.
I think I'll keep this one.
Now when did I become such a romantic?
