Hi!
How about them pirates, eh?

I'm tempted to yammer politically here, and mention non-profit struggles. But I won't.
Instead, I'll simply say that Kenneth Grahame's Wind in the Willows has the most beautiful slashy relationship ever; Ratty and Mole are so completely married and happy. What an incredible book; I find myself re-reading passages over and over with unceasing delight.

Johnny Depp is scaring me; I find myself moving from my long-time respect for him as an actor and beginning to see him as an icon. It's a little woozy-making. I have the deepest fondness for Orlando growing also. He revealed a true showman's heart by playing Turner as the straight man to Depp, enhancing the whole thing, supporting the overall production at the expense of American movie-goers' recognition of him personally. And now that I've seen Lost in La Mancha I have a fantasy about Johnny as a modern day, younger Don Quixote with Orlando in his freaky post-Ring clothes as a post-modern Sancho Panza.

I know, it's deranged. But!

I'll try not to be a stranger.;O)
