Dear John letters, or do I have some lee-way here?

There's been a lot of discussion about the fathering of Sam and Dean recently. Is John a villain? Is John a misunderstood sweetheart? In the midst of discussing various takes on John Winchester, there has been a lot of criticism levelled at people with a strong opinion on one side or the other. So here's what I'd like to know.
( May contain a couple of SPN spoilers, I dunno. )

If you're a fan of rps, and can take SG:A rps, then get yourself pronto to lilysaid's new story, which blows my mind.
It's one of those stories that makes me itch to write, like gay ants in my pants who want to be in a hot love story NOW.

Strangely, there an actual original storyline coming to me, for the first time in a little while. 'Course, the guys seem to want to be named Dean and Sam, but what can you do?
